Captain marvellous!!

Played for Royston for 20 years, so thought it was time that I put something back! Focus for the next 4 years will be the development of our youth in both Men’s and Women’s section. We are also striving towards gaining Club First accreditation, which will be the corner stone of this development plan. I hope that you will join me in driving on the success of Royston Hockey Club, while still having a lot of fun at the club!

Former 1st XI Captain - and Cambs U21 and Senior caps. Played for Royston for over 20 years, retired for the last 8 years , but still retain reputation for the most fragile hamstrings ever to grace a hockey pitch. Back and looking forward to being captain of the 5th team to promote youth hockey in the club.

Having returned to playing about 4 years ago after a 12 year break and Di Hassen talking me in to it after a few wines I said I would come back but not get too involved. Four years later I find myself Captain of The Ladies 3rd Team, Ladies Club Captain, helping with Junior Coaching and also involved with coaching at Cambs JDC as well. What was in that glass of wine

I've been playing hockey for 22 years now. I may not have the skill of players in the higher teams, but I never give up. I've played in every outfield position and I hope to lead the 4XI to many wins this year.
